Plot Summary
Based off of the graphic novels by Bryan O'Malley, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is about a Canadian slacker named Scott Pilgrim. Scott obsesses about the girls that dump him although he sees nothing wrong with being the dumper. During one of his bummer moments, Scott falls in love with Ramona, who has major baggage. In order to date her he must defeat her seven deadly exes.
Critical Evaluation
As a fan of the graphic novel series and the actors who are in the movie, I just had to see this movie. With the same goofy humor as movies like Superbad or Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist, I loved every minute of it. Pop culture saturates this movie and teens will get a kick out of the familiar references. You do not have to have read the graphic novels in order to understand the movie.
Readers Annotation
You thought your ex had baggage!
