The Show Must Go: Hedley

Hedley. (2010). The Show Must Go. [CD]. USA: Island Records. ASIN: B002SXPK9S

Summary
The Show Must Go was released on November 17, 2009. The first single from this album, "Cha-Ching", peaked at #6 on the Canadian Hot 100. The second single, "Don't Talk to Strangers", peaked at #11. This CD features production by John Feldman, Dave Genn, David Bendeth, and Brian Howes, all of which star in their own bands. This album is a mix between pop punk, the Jonas Brothers, and Justin Timberlake. It's poppy tunes and catch lyrics will draw any listener in.

Crictical Evavluation
Although this type of music is not my favorite, I really didn't mind listening to it for this assignment. Their tunes are fun and their lyrics are catchy. This is something my 7-year-old will love.

Readers Annotation
  The Jonas Brothers get mohawks.

Performer Information
Hedley is a Canadian pop rock band that consists of, Jacob Hoggard, Tommy Mac, Dave Rosin, and Chris Cribbun. The band originated in Abbotsford, British Columbia and got its name from the town of Hedley, British Columbia. Hedley has put out three albums that have been billboard hits and has been nominated for and won many awards.
Hedley's fame has grown and claims that their influence stems from bands like Jimmy Eat World and Steven Tyler. As a dare, the lead singer bet $150 dollars he wouldn't audition for Canadian idol. He eventually won and was signed immediately by Universal Canada.
